Means of Identification

 

In order for a person to sign a document before a Notario Público, he must verify the identity of that person, who must provide at least one of the following documents, which must also be not expired.

 

1. Passport.

 

Mexicans may show their current valid Passport as means of identity.

Non Mexicans may also use their current valid Passport in addition to the documents that shows their regular status in the country.

 

 

2. Baja California driver’s license.

 

Which must be valid, show complete name, picture and address.

 

 

3. Voter credential.

 

Valid, show complete name, picture and, preferably, with the current address.

 

 

4. Consular registration card.

 

For Mexican nationals who reside out of Mexico.
